Joy Prayers: What is the Purpose for All My Big Ideas?

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.

-Psalm 28:7

God there are so many times that I feel like

 I have too many obstacles to contend with

 and they seem to be never ending.

  All I can do is rely on the words

you have spoken to my heart

 about the good work you have begun in me.

Have mercy on me Lord.

 Ease the bitterness of discouragement.

  The hope of what you have begun burns inside me,

 a consuming fire Lord.

 To the point that it makes my heart feel sick.

Remind me Lord that it is the chasing after you,

 your voice,

 your heart

 and your good pleasure

 that is ultimately

the best part of any vision

 you have put within me.

Remind me that my life belongs to you;

 however you choose to navigate it.

And Lord, help me to not look simply to outside circumstances

 to reveal my progress in life in terms of this vision.

Remind me that this life is going

according to your plan

I yield my ways to you.

Be your own Valentine this year at our "Love Yourself, Love Others" Valentine's Day event. We will have a room full of booths offering services that will leave you feeling loved and pampered.

The event is free to the public. Free entry will include a flower, dessert, and a custom-made scrub or lotion. To enjoy other services or enter our raffle, tickets will be available for $5 each for use at the various stations and to enter the raffle.

Bring a donation item (size 4 diapers or baby wipes) for Sojourner Center, a local domestic violence shelter, and receive 2 free tickets to enter the raffle.

Invite your friends! This is a great way to have fun, love yourself and love others.

Joy Prayers: What Does the World Need From Me?

Light in a messenger's eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

– Proverbs 15:30

God I believe you have put something within me that the world needs.  You have given me an idea, a song, a mission, a talent

that I have been afraid to let others really see.

There have been times where I shared my vision with someone

 and she was unkind with her response. 

I release that person from the responsibility

of holding me back any longer.

I pray that you would surround me

with one or with many

 that will nurture what you have placed inside me.

 I pray you would expand my capacity to reach others in a unique way that you have crafted for me. 

I start with you Lord and ask you to help me water the work.

Then I ask that you will open the eyes of those around me

 who need what you have given me to offer.

  You Lord know how you have given me this work to do

 and for whom the work is for.

Thank you for loving me this much

to give me work to do for your good purpose

 not only to connect with the world and remind them of you Lord

but to bless me with the ability to create fulfilling life work
