Do Overs

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

Is a Tribe Truly Necessary?

For the past few years I have been doing a ton of solopreneur projects and it has served me well.  I am able to work around school schedules and hubby needs and can squeeze in extra time when I find it.  I see the value at least at the beginning of new projects of using quiet to help you really get at what you are trying to accomplish without anyone else adding into what it is YOU are trying to accomplish.

BUT...

There comes a time when the projects, the ideas and ESPECIALLY the person behind those projects and ideas needs... the tribe.  You just do.  I think that you can have the personality and the drive to carry yourself and your ideas on momentum and adrenaline for quite a while.  But THEN you are going to need someone to help you go BEYOND  what you envision.  I think even the most visionary among us will hit a wall of fear that you need a supportive outsider or two or three to get through.

Who are the people in your life that help you unlock the door to get at those deeper intentions with your ideas AND challenge you to go bigger than your comfort zone would allow?

Your Candle

There is a candle in your heart, ready to be kindled.
There is a void in your soul, ready to be filled.
You feel it, don’t you?

Sifting Through the Images of the Past

Over the last few weeks I have been sifting through our belongings preparing for another move.  I came across an old memory card and found many "lost" photographs.  We bought our first digital camera when our girl was born hence the time stamps and red eye and all the other newbie mistakes.

How fast 6 years has gone.  My girl just completed kindergarten, my oldest is heading off to boot camp for the Air Force, my middle son is in college in Oklahoma.  Yes, yes it does all go so fast.

Today we are at 14 days before we head back to where this blended family began: in Arizona.  I watch and wait to see what all these years which have felt like training ground evolve into.  I am ready.

Fully Alive

To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest.
To live fully is to be always in no-man’s-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh.
To live is to be willing to die over and over again.
